Year 9 Art Tetra Paks
24/06/2021Our Year 9 students explored dry point etching and used tetra pak boxes as the plate, rather than plastic etching sheets. Images are created by using an etching tool, and scratching lines into the plate. Tones are built up layers of line, dark areas can be created hatching, cross hatching or removing the silver layer from the plate. Highlights and white areas are achieved by gently rubbing that part of the plate to remove more of the ink. The images shown here are all very small, no image is larger than a 50 cent piece and most are smaller.
