02/09/2024Term 3 continues to be an engaging and productive period for our Year 9 students. The final Advocate Groups have successfully completed their visits to the Bendigo Tech School. The Leadership in Sport class had the opportunity to work with the Bendigo Braves during an energetic session (read article). Additionally, our music and leadership students participated in the Mercy Education Commissioning Mass and the Victorian Schools Music Festival. Many subjects are concluding assessments and our students are actively engaging in various learning tasks and cocurricular activities.
Recently, classes conducted heart dissections as part of our STEAM curriculum, utilising cow hearts. The anatomical structure of cow hearts closely resembles that of human hearts, making them an excellent choice for exploration.

Congratulations to the Year 9 girls who were part of the netball team competing in the National All Schools Netball Challenge held in Bendigo from 19 – 21 August. In a fast moving, physical, intense and highly-skilled Grand Final, the girls went down in extra time to Rowville Secondary College 37 to 35. Our Year 9 students displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the tournament. They should be extremely proud of their achievement and conduct.
