Year 9 News – 6 June 2024

04/06/2024

Year 9 students have started looking at careers, pathways and subject selection. On Thursday 31 May, the Assistant Principal of Learning and Teaching, Mrs Gina Giblin addressed the cohort at our Year Level Assembly.

In the coming weeks Year 9s will attend a series of double-period workshops which will provide information and opportunities to explore resources.

  • Thursday 13 June: Session 1 | What is? VCE, VCE VM, VET and VPC |
  • Thursday 20 June: Session 2 | Careers and exploring further study |
  • Thursday 27 June: Session 3: | Preparing students for subject selection |

Students are encouraged to commence conversations at home with family and friends, to consider current interests, abilities and goals.

It has been encouraging to see students wearing their blazers in the cold weather. However, we are seeing a rise in jewellery and make-up infringements, which students need to address. Students will be asked to remove items, with repeated infringements resulting in lunchtime reflections. Parents and carers are asked to support the CMCB Dress Code and Expectations and have conversations with their children about these..
