Year 9 Drama students present play at Malthouse Theatre

On Tuesday 21 October, Year 9 Drama students had the opportunity to travel to the Malthouse Theatre, Southbank to present a play they have created using the theme of climate change.

Using scenes from the commissioned script, Atomic, students interpreted them to focus on the student climate strikes, highlighting the importance and the right of young people to have a voice about these issues.

It was a terrific experience for our students to view other Year 9 and 10 Drama students’ work and a professional performance of Atomic to develop their skills as young theatre makers.

Next Thursday 14 November, Year 9 Drama along with Year 9 Music, will present their play to parents and friends in the Coolock Drama Studio (Sister Aloysius Martyn Arts Building) at 7pm.
