Year 7 News – 9 March 2023
08/03/2023Student Leadership
We have several opportunities for our Year 7 students to be involved in student leadership. Next week we will commence our student leadership applications. This year, students can be involved in the Student Representative Council or as a House Captain. Both roles provide opportunities for our students to develop their leadership skills, work closely with leaders across the school and be an integral part of College events and decision-making. We look forward to reading students’ applications.
Year 7 Camp
One of the many highlights throughout the year is always the Year 7 Camp. Last week our Year 7 cohort attended a 3-day camp at Campaspe Downs Adventure Camp near Kyneton. The camp provides a valuable experience for students to enhance and form new relationships with their peers and teachers. It also challenges them to push themselves outside of their comfort zone as they participate in activities such as leap of faith, abseiling, giant swing, flying fox, laser tag, canoeing and much more.
All the students and staff had a sensational time. We are extremely proud of the way our students conducted themselves and represented the College.
