Year 7 Camps 2025
10/04/2025A great week of fun, team-building, adventure and overcoming challenges!
Over three hundred Year 7 students and twenty-six staff, across two camps, embarked on a journey to PGL Campaspe Downs Camp in Kyneton in Week 8 of Term 1.
Over the course of the camp the students were given the opportunity to participate in a range of adventure activities, including Leap of Faith, Giant Swing, Abseiling, Laser Tag and Canoeing, while also undertaking Challenge Course activities focused on improving teamwork, initiative and problem-solving skills.
Overall, it was great to see so many Year 7 students making new friends and experiencing activities they had never encountered before. The following are some quotes from a few of the students who attended the camp.
“I really enjoyed spending time with students I had not met before and making new connections.”
“My favourite activity was the giant swing, it was exhilarating!”
“It was fun seeing the teachers getting involved too and working as a team with them.”
“I was initially scared to try the leap of faith, but I decided to be brave and give it a shot and now know I would have regretted it if I went home without doing it.”
Finally, a big thank you to all of the students who went on camp for the way in which you conducted yourselves over the course of your respective camps.
Thank you also to the staff who assisted with the planning prior to camp and those who attended and supported the students throughout the camp, making it a great success.
