Year 12 Final Countdown

17/10/2024

Year 12 students are on their final countdown to the exams and finishing their secondary education, a very exciting time for them.

It was great to have such a big turn out at Mercy Day. Most of our students dressed up in house colours with fun and imaginative costumes that they wore with pride. It was a day where we celebrated being part of the Mercy community and honouring our foundress Catherine McAuley, but also a day where we embraced our community at Catherine McAuley College Bendigo (CMCB). We were really proud of how the Year 12 students led the College, finishing with a fun chariots race.

This term there are a lot of important dates that students need to be aware of. Practice exams are available to sit, all day Saturday and Sunday morning. On Wednesday 23 October the students have their final day; we will celebrate their time at CMCB and wish them well for their exams and the adventure that awaits them. The day begins with a breakfast, time in their Student Advocate Group and then a whole school assembly. The day concludes with a Year 12 assembly where we review their time at our College. Students will be dismissed at 11.30am.

Students will then begin their independent subject revision. Please note that subject teachers will continue to support students with their preparations and are available in the classroom at their regular class time up until the day of the exam.

We, as the Year Level Learning Leaders, would like to congratulate our students for their hard work, commitment and dedication to their studies this year. It has been a pleasure to lead this cohort and witness them grow into young adults that have embraced the values of our Mercy College. We wish them well for their exams and for the next chapter of their lives beyond CMCB.
