Year 10 News – 11 April 2024

Our Year 10s have found their feet at the St Mary’s Campus in Term 1. They’ve navigated the site, finding their way to classrooms and have developed their fitness with the trek up and down the Wright Street hill. They have begun taking the many opportunities on offer and assuming greater responsibility for their own learning. We continue to work with the Year 10s on respectful interactions with others and look forward to a positive Term 2, where every person can achieve their personal best.

Some examples of this can be found in our Year 10 Food Technology and Year 10 Textiles classes, where students have designed delicious meals and crafted creative hats. In Food Tech, students created Food Fusion, combining cultures in their Chicken Schnitzel recipes. In Textiles, students could use any textile medium or technique to create a hat that illustrated a message about SunSmart practices, mental health or the Mercy Education Values. It’s wonderful to see our students approach their work with such enthusiasm and produce great results!
