Uniform Changeover and Expectations
08/04/2022Dear Parents and Carers
For the first two weeks of Term 2, given the unpredictability of the weather, students may choose to wear their summer or winter uniform. From Monday 9 May, all students must wear full winter uniform.
As students transition into winter uniform, it is an opportune time to revisit the College’s expectation that students will always be in the correct uniform. We will be working with families to ensure their child/children are meeting this requirement. Full information about uniform expectations is available on the College website.
We are currently developing additional features in the Parent Access Module (PAM), which will assist with communication home if students are out of uniform. This will roll out during Term 2, and we will continue to inform families about this development.
During the winter terms, all students from Years 7 – 11 are expected to wear the College blazer to and from school. We also highly recommend that students continue to wear the blazer throughout the day, as another layer of warmth. This has the added advantage of supporting our sustainability focus as a reGEN school.
There seems to be some confusion regarding the wearing of the soft-shell jacket. This is part of the sport uniform and is not to be worn with the winter academic uniform. If students are wearing the soft-shell jacket when not in sport uniform, they will be asked to remove it.
Students are only to be in their sport uniform on the days that they have Physical Education practical double periods. The only other days that students are permitted to wear their sport uniform were detailed in the previous News Update on 7 April.
We see this as an opportunity to work together, to ensure we are all upholding the College’s expectations of students when wearing their College uniform.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s Student Advocate.
