The Scottish Play

As a part of their Unit 2 English studies, our Year 11 students were treated to a performance by the Complete Works Theatre Company on Tuesday 16 July. Students were dazzled by the performance of the three actors who not only performed Shakespeare’s Macbeth, but also explained the key points and themes throughout the play.

Students responded well to a 20-minute question and answer session at the end and uncovered many of the key themes of the play. This will support our students continuing studies in their English classes this term, where they will dig deeper into this rich text.
