SWPBS: Taking Action on Behaviour Expectations
23/05/2022SCHOOL WIDE POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT – UPDATE 2 JUNE 2022
In the last two weeks, our community focused on some important expected behaviours in our learning spaces, based on the Whole School Behaviour Expectations Matrix.
Students explored what it means to Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Kind in these spaces. Teachers explained specific behaviours that demonstrate students meeting the expectations, such as what it means to be an active listener, how we can care for our learning spaces, being ready to learn with a growth mindset, using manners and being inclusive.
In the following fortnight, our community focus will draw attention to what it means to Be Respectful and Be Responsible in College grounds, locker areas and canteen. We expect students to dispose of rubbish correctly, care for our common home, respect others’ personal space, be an upstander and make good decisions in these areas of our school.
We encourage all our families to become familiar with the three main expectations, ‘Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Kind’, as we continue to embed this common language and behaviour into CMC College life.
