Student leaders keen to make a positive difference

In 2025, our goal is to work together to create an inclusive and supportive environment for the people around us, so that all members of the Catherine McAuley College Bendigo (CMCB) community are together, united as one.

As College Captains, our focus is to be active within our community and spread kindness, inspired by our 2025 College theme, We can never say, ‘it is enough’. (Catherine McAuley)

As Faith Captains, it is important to us to keep faith alive at CMCB across both campuses and make it a prominent part of our daily lives. We feel passionate about and want to advocate for social justice issues. We want to be involved in positive change within our community. We would love to continue to build an inclusive environment where people with all different faith experiences feel supported. Holly & Liam

Too many times we have been told, “sorry for the mess we’ve left you”. This fuels us to want to make an impact as reGEN Captains. We aim to make sustainability and reGEN principles well known across CMCB. Through speaking and collaborative workshops, we will talk about what everyone can do to make an impact on our environment and within our community. We hope that ‘caring for our common home’ becomes a habit and people understand the effects that we have on our environment. Maddison & Sophie

I have chosen to be a leader because I am passionate about social justice. I care that everyone at school feels safe and is treated fairly. As Vincent House Captain I aim to be someone that students feel comfortable to come to for help, or with ideas to share. Annabelle

As Arts Captain, I am looking forward to seeing all Arts students grow and thrive throughout the year, as individuals and as a group. I hope to be a voice for all students. I hope to inspire students in all year levels to be truly themselves and reach their potential. I want to create a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone to be a part of, whatever their passions or interests. Tarah
