State Aerobics – Girls, Leotards & Spirit
On Thursday 19 July the girls in the three Catherine McAuley College (CMC) Aerobics teams were up bright and early. The bus departed at 6am full of girls, leotards and spirit. The destination was the Community Bank Stadium in Moonee Ponds for the State Aeroschools Aerobics Competition.
Team 1, which consisted of Tahlia Isaac, Keely Harrington, Kiara Clarke, Piper Smith, Katie Dean and Lauren McKenzie, were flawless and made it all the way through to the finals. They finished tenth overall in the State which was very exciting.
Team 2, which consisted of Lara Bish, Abby Perdon, Lila Robins, Charli Kingston-Brown, Arkie Donnelly and Tess Phillips, also performed beautifully and finished twenty-fifth out of fifty teams.
Team 3, which consisted of Heidi Shelton, Holly Ryan, Aimee Dean, Amaya Schmidt and Marnie Wakefield, had the biggest smiles in the stadium and finished twenty-second.
A big thank you to Julianne Shelton who was the official hair stylist of the day and Miss Anne Boyd the professional pinner, these two helpers made the preparation seamless.
All of the girls represented our College with outstanding sportsmanship and pride. They should be very proud of themselves.
