Staff Professional Learning Day
On Friday 26 April our staff gathered for a Professional Learning Day.
The day started with a review of our policies and procedures in relation to the Child Safe standards. We looked at how we can continue ensuring Catherine McAuley College is a safe and welcoming environment where all students are safe and can thrive.
For the rest of the day, our staff attended a variety of sessions where teachers taught each other. These sessions included working out how we teach students when English is not their first language, working with students with learning difficulties, strategies for relieving stress, and reflections on our first Term with our new subjects.
We were blessed to have Monsignor Frank Marriot lead us in Mass in the gym at the end of the day.
Our staff found the day very productive, and we appreciate the support of parents for our ongoing learning process, so that we can best meet the needs of all our students.
