Learning for Life
28/03/2025STAFF COMPLETE MASTERS IN EDUCATION AND THEOLOGY
Congratulations to Mr Matthew Angove, Mrs Sarah Cody, Mrs Lisa Darlow, Mrs Gina Giblin, Ms Sarah Gross and Mrs Cara Pawsey who completed their Masters in Education and Theology recently, together with other teachers around the Sandhurst Diocese. They celebrated their achievements at the formal Graduation Ceremony on Friday 21 March at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne.
Their commitment to their studies is beneficial not only for their personal professional learning, but also for our College community, as they bring their knowledge to their teaching and leadership roles. Balancing further studies with professional and family commitments is an achievement in itself but also demonstrates ‘learning for life’ as an inspiration for all our staff and students.
It was such a wonderful opportunity to engage in learning with colleagues from around the Sandhurst Diocese and at Catherine McAuley College Bendigo for the Master of Education and Theology. The units were enlightening and designed to drive strategic improvement in Religious Education and Professional Learning in Catholic Education. (Gina Giblin, Assistant Principal – Learning and Teaching)
I am deeply grateful to the College for its support and the opportunity to undertake my Masters of Education and Theology. This course has significantly enriched my understanding of how to effectively teach religious education in our contemporary world. Additionally, it has provided valuable guidance in my role as a leader in shaping and strengthening the Catholic identity of the College. I have also greatly appreciated the collegiality of working alongside other leaders and educators from the Sandhurst Diocese, whose insights and shared commitment to faith and education have been both inspiring and enriching. (Cara Pawsey, Assistant Principal – Faith Mission and Community)
