St Mary’s Campus Food Drive – Supporting Bendigo Foodshare
07/11/2022The Catherine McAuley College community is raising funds and awareness for Bendigo Foodshare during the month of November. The Year 10 Virtues classes are leading the campaign at the St Mary’s campus to gain non-perishable food donations for Bendigo Foodshare.
Bendigo Foodshare provides food for nearly 13,000 Central Victorians every week. In light of recent flooding and with demand for food relief having grown over 40%, more people than ever are in need of our support. We would really appreciate any support you can give to flood affected families and all people struggling with food safety at this time.
You can support the great work of Bendigo Foodshare by donating non-perishable food items to the St Mary’s Food Drive during November.
The most needed items include:
- Pasta, rice and grains
- Canned vegetables
- Breakfast cereals
- Tinned fruit
- Flour and sugar
- UHT milk
- Coffee, tea and Milo
- Sauces and seasonings
- Tinned meat and fish
- Cooking oil
- Ready-made meal bases
- Jam, peanut butter and vegemite
Please drop off your donations to the St Mary’s General Office or the basket in the St Mary’s Library. By bringing in a food item or two, you can do something small that will make a big difference.
