Senior Boys Netball

Congratulations to the Senior Boys Netball team who won the Sandhurst Division Competition on Monday 29 May. Playing in a four-team round-robin format, the boys won all their games to continue with their success from last year, albeit with a slightly different team.

In Game 1, the boys defeated a very strong group from Bendigo Senior Secondary College by two goals in a very entertaining and skilful match. This game saw the boys develop great team cohesion and systems as they slowly worked out how to play effectively as a new squad.

With their team play now up and going, the boys rolled SEDA College easily with a brilliant display of athleticism, clinical defence and incredible goaling accuracy. This win set up a finals-style final round against Marist College Bendigo, as both teams went in undefeated.

The game against Marist could not have gone any better. The boys blasted their way out of the blocks and went 9-0 up in a matter of minutes. This brilliant and classy display set the boys up for the match going on to defeat Marist by ten goals, and hence win the Sandhurst Division Competition. The win has secured the boys a place at the Loddon Mallee Regional Finals to be played in Bendigo on Thursday 20 July.
