Science Camps
26/04/2018Applications are now open for the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) Program. This 12-day residential program will take place in January 2019 and is designed to give students a broader understanding of the diverse study and career options available in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The aim is to encourage students to continue in these fields and give them experience in critical thinking, entrepreneurship and teamwork. The program includes lectures, visits to laboratories, workshops, group activities and social events.
Catherine McAuley College students, Luke Harris BK9 and Laine Graham BK9 attended the NYSF Camp in January this year with the help of the Rotary Club. Both boys were inspired in their studies by the experience and Luke has since been accepted into the National University of Singapore Science Summer Camp. Participants at this camp will experience a fascinating series of workshops and demonstrations by university professors, as well as expand their social and cultural horizons.
Applications for the program close on 30 May and can be accessed at https://www.nysf.edu.au/programs/year-12-program/
