Schools in Action – National All Schools Netball Challenge 2024

12/08/2024

Good luck to the following students who are to compete at the second Schools in Action, National All Schools Netball Challenge, which is being played at Red Energy Arena, from Monday 19 to Wednesday 21 August. With teams from across the country attending, the girls are excited for the challenge ahead and are keen to replicate the success of last year’s winning team.

TEAM: Lexie Austen, Lexi Brennan, Lexie Fennell, Ginger Hay, Juliet Hogan, Lilly Hope, Maggie Lamb, Dempsey McDonnell, Charli McInerney, Diana Napoleon, Charlize Pinder and Eden Pollard. The team will also be supported by Maeve Cass (Scorer), Lila Kelly (Manager), William Whiteacre (Umpire)

Once again, the College has merged the Years 9 and 10 teams in order to have the strongest possible team representing the College, with the hope of achieving the ultimate success once again! This merger has proved to be an exciting opportunity for all involved, with the girls relishing the prospect of playing together. They are determined to play some great team netball at this tough national competition. They understand that this is an incredibly special opportunity and cannot wait to take to the court over the three days of competition.

The girls are fortunate to be coached by Mrs Sharna Frawley and Mrs Belinda Pinner, two incredibly knowledgeable staff, who are relishing the opportunity of working with this group of girls.

Tarah Frawley rounds out the College’s commitment at the Tournament as she will once again sing the National Anthem at the Opening Ceremony. Her incredible vocal talent had the participants in awe last year, as they were blown away with her beautiful rendition.

We wish everyone involved all the very best of luck.
