Sandhurst Teachers’ Immersion

In Term 3 school holidays, a group of teachers from the Sandhurst Diocese went on an immersion to Cebu, Philippines which is run in partnership with the University of San Carlos, Cebu.

The immersion included visiting local neighbourhoods in varying levels of poverty such as dumpsite communities and the cemetery communities. Thank you to those in our community who help fundraise for these people. Every dollar went to someone in need and is very much appreciated.

The trip also included witnessing the ordination of Nathan Verallo to the diaconate for the Sandhurst Diocese which just happened to occur in the same city and while the Sandhurst teachers were there.

For anyone considering participating in an experience like this, it is highly recommended.
