Principal’s Update – 18 October 2021: School Closure
18/10/2021Dear Parents and Carers.
Catherine McAuley College has been advised that members of our school community have tested positive for Coronavirus.
Catherine McAuley College will remain closed on Tuesday 19 October 2021. The school closure day will enable the process of contract tracing and cleaning of the affected areas to commence.
Please note children of essential workers will not be permitted to attend either campus until further notice.
In the next 24 hours families will be notified if they have students that may have attended various classes and been in close contact, and they will need to get tested and remain at home until further notice.
The remote learning program will resume from Tuesday, 19 October. For the remote learning days, students will follow their normal timetable and should refer to SIMON for links to class material and Google Meet links.
We understand this news will be concerning for many of you. I want to assure you we are doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of our whole school community.
The school is being supported by Catholic Education Sandhurst regarding our next steps and appropriate action following the guidelines from the Department of Health.
The school will update all families as further information becomes available.

The COVID-19 advice for students page includes advice and resources for students about how to adapt your learning during the pandemic, how to look after yourself and where to get help. Your teachers will support you to continuing learning from home while you are in quarantine.
