Primary Schools Cricket Blast at MJSP

Catherine McAuley College Bendigo was delighted to welcome the Bendigo Primary Schools Division Cricket Blast on Friday 25 October.

With 74 teams and 740 players gracing the fields of the Mercy Junortoun Sporting Precinct, there was plenty of energy, colour and fun. There were boundaries galore and wickets being taken, with 37 games of cricket being played simultaneously on the Quinn, O’Keefe, Howard and Canty Ovals.

With virtually every Primary School attending the day with at least two teams, the logistics of running the day were enormous. Congratulations and thank you to the students pictured below who assisted with the umpiring and scoring of games. Our students represented the College with incredible maturity and enthusiasm and their willingness to help was certainly noticed by the various school staff who attended.

We hope the primary students in the Bendigo Region had a great day using the facilities at MJSP.
