Music Demo Day

The start of Semester 2 brings a new cohort of Year 7s to music. On Wednesday 17 July, Year 7 students from seven classes participated in our Demo Day. This day is a chance for students to try each of the instruments on offer before deciding which they will learn for the semester. At Year 7, the College offers free tuition on flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium and percussion as part of the classroom music program.

Students will have small group lessons on their instrument and rehearse as a class during one of their music periods each week. They are rehearsing to develop ensemble and performance skills to demonstrate to parents and families at the Coolock Arts and Performance Evening on 12 November.
