International Women’s Day
21/03/2019International Women’s Day was celebrated on Friday 8 March and was massively important to the equality and diversity present within our school community. Our school came together and wore an item of purple clothing or nail polish to show solidarity with all women across the globe who are treated unequally. This was a day when we not only recognised the hardships faced by women and the challenges we are yet to defeat in search of an equal society, but we also celebrated the milestones achieved and barriers we have overcome as a society.

It was a delight to see our Student Representative Council (SRC) take such leadership on this front, working with all students in our Council to not only acknowledge International Women’s Day but also what it stands for, by addressing issues of gender discrimination within our school and local community context.
