In the second game, CMC were up against Merbein P-10 College, who had also just come off an impressive win in their earlier encounter. CMC won the toss and chose to bat. After a steady start, the CMC top order managed to build the momentum of the innings nicely for an outstanding finish. CMC finished their allocated 14 overs with a score of 4/96. Xavier Grant was the standout batsman with 57, not out.
The CMC bowlers made an excellent start with the ball, as Seb Rossi claimed two early wickets. Merbein managed to string together some important partnerships in the middle, which made for an exciting finish to the game. 23 runs were required off the last 2 overs, but thanks to some clever bowling and important outfield catches, CMC were able to claim the victory by 10 runs.
