Inter Girls win LMR Regional Finals

School Sports Victoria – Loddon Mallee Regional Final

Intermediate Girls Basketball

On Wednesday 18 October, the Intermediate Girls played in the Loddon Mallee Regional finals in Bendigo. The girls played four games, each lasting thirty minutes. Their first game was against St Mary MacKillop College, Swan Hill. It was a very tight and physical game. The girls had to work hard the entire game to come away with the win 31-24.

The second game was against St Joseph’s College, Mildura. Again, this was a tight and physical game; the girls only pulled away in the second half to win 29-20.

The third game was against St Arnaud Secondary College. This game was easier, with less pressure and the girls won 60-22.

The last game was against Echuca Secondary College. The team needed to win this game to advance to the next stage in Melbourne. The girls had a good start, which allowed them to take control of the game and ultimately win 48-23.

It was an overall team effort by all players for a successful day. They now advance to the next stage. Thank you to Lexie Fennell for scoring.
