Integrated Studies Anzac History Walk

Students in Mr Canterford’s Year 11 and 12 Integrated Studies participated in an Anzac history walk of Bendigo Cemetery run by local historian, Greta Balsillie.

During the tour, Greta, explored the significance of the courageous acts of Bendigo-born soldiers during conflicts stemming from the Boer War through to the Vietnam War.

This tour coincides with a class study of the memoir, ‘Well Done Those Men’ by Vietnam veteran, Barry Heard.

Students laid poppies to commemorate the soldier’s lives, remembering the sacrifice given by these brave young men and women.
