iGEN Marks Global Intergenerational Week 2024

Students in the iGEN program have marked Global Intergenerational Week 2024 with a busy week of activities in partnership with Mercy Health Bethlehem Home for the Aged and Golden Rise Seniors Living.

Gardening, baking ANZAC biscuits, yard games, balloon tennis, carpet bowls, gardening, armchair travel and trivia all provided further opportunities for students and residents to build meaningful connections with one another.

The week of activities targeted some key themes of Global Intergenerational Week – breaking down age barriers, combating loneliness and social isolation, celebrating intergenerational spaces and communities and building solidarity between generations.
