Hospitality and iGEN Team Up for High Tea
28/11/2024The Year 10 Hospitality class played host to the Year 10 iGEN class and residents from Mercy Health Bethlehem Home for the Aged, in a curriculum crossover event on Tuesday 12 November. After weeks of designing, planning and testing for the High Tea, the Hospitality class were able to put their skills to the test, and created a unique opportunity for our community members to join us on campus. The residents and students all delighted in the preparation of the space, and client friendly dishes that were served.
Our residents were thrilled to walk through the kitchen and see the students in action before the lunch, and enjoyed visiting the space in the St Mary’s Courtyard, which for some, was a return to days gone by.
The Hospitality classes worked through the whole process of planning and executing the event as part of their assessment for the semester, while our iGEN class were able to benefit from the opportunity to further their connection with residents in a different setting. All involved in the planning, preparation and running of the event are to be commended for quality of the event.
