Harmony Week – ‘Everyone Belongs’

10/04/2025

Harmony Week’s theme for 2025 is Everyone Belongs. The celebration recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.

Harmony Week (Monday 17 – Sunday 23 March 2025) was celebrated at St Mary’s and Coolock in the final two weeks of term. A number of activities were organised by our FIRE Carrier Group.

  • Selling Harmony ribbons: to show support for inclusion and harmony. Funds went towards Caritas who advocate for Human dignity and inclusion.
  • Chalking on Wright Street: On Tuesday students wrote ‘hello’ in a number of languages.
  • Wear a touch of orange on Friday 21 March was the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (IDERD). Students were encouraged to purchase a Harmony Day Ribbon, wear a touch of orange and take part in ochre painting at Coolock Campus.
