Gwen Symons Scholarship Winner

We are delighted to congratulate Year 11 student Hser Oh Bue Htoo Lweh who was presented with the Gwen Symons Scholarship at our final St Mary’s Assembly of the year, on Thursday 5 December.

Ann Horrocks, from the Zonta Club of Bendigo, attended the assembly and presented this scholarship to Hser Oh Bue. The Zonta Club focuses on empowering women and one of the ways they do this is by offering scholarships to young women to advance their education. Hser Oh Bue wrote a fantastic application for this scholarship and was delighted to receive this from Ann.

We would like to thank the Zonta Club of Bendigo for their support and for their ongoing work in our community to empower women and children. Congratulations Hser Oh Bue.
