Gold for bands

Bendigo Eisteddfod

On Friday 7 June the Bendigo Competitions Society ran their School Band’s Competition. Local and regional schools took part in the event. CMC took the Concert Band and Junior Band to perform on stage in front of an adjudicator.

Both bands performed really well in their division and were awarded a Gold Standard by the adjudicator, indicating that they were playing at the highest standard in their divisions. This is a result of the hard work that the students and their teachers have put into their rehearsals, and the practise put in at home.

The students conducted themselves in a professional manner all day and were great ambassadors of the College. Congratulations to all students involved, and their band directors Miss Ashleigh Yeates, and Mr David Turpie.
