Going on Exchange to France
20/06/2024“Maddie came into our Year 10 French class to share her experience on overseas exchange to France. Maddie told us about her host family, the unexpected cultural differences and other parts of her experience including friends, school, weather and holidays.” (Sammi Kelly, Year 10)
“Her skills with speaking and listening got us motivated to do a similar experience, going to France for three months over the summer holidays.” (Zac Mott and Finley Drage, Year 10)
“It was great to see different photos of where she lived and hear about the different school life in France, as it’s what we are learning currently. Being able to hear her speak French and seeing firsthand how much going on exchange can improve your French skills, not only speaking, but also writing and expanding your vocabulary, was encouraging to the class.” (Emerson Graham, Year 11)
“Maddie spoke about her exchange family, meeting new friends and the wonderful memories she made. The presentation felt very personal and was successful in persuading the rest of the class to go on exchange. The photos she took were very beautiful and it was great to see France through her perspective. Merci Maddie!” (Anna Smith et Zahli Waugh, Year 11)
“Going on exchange opens up your eyes to so many new and different ways of life. It allows you to experience so many unique things and you will make friends for the rest of your life. Once you go on exchange, you realise you can be independent, you are able to travel more, you can choose what you want to do in life.” (Maddie Bray, Year 11)
