Environmental Science Students Delve Into Waste

Unit 2 Environmental Science students recently had the pleasure of hosting an education officer from the City of Greater Bendigo for an eye-opening session on waste management, recycling and organics.

This hands-on incursion wasn’t just informative – it was empowering! Our students dove into the world of waste, learning the ins and outs of correct sorting, recycling and how to handle organics. They also gained valuable knowledge on where Greater Bendigo’s waste ends up and highlighted recent changes in our city’s waste management.

The energy in the room was contagious, with students fully engaged and eager to apply these practical tips to their everyday lives. They left inspired and equipped with the tools to make a real difference in our community’s journey towards sustainability.
