Environmental Science Students Explore Ag-Tech at Bendigo Tech

Our Unit 2 Environmental Science students visited Bendigo Tech School, exploring Ag-Tech with a focus on Indigenous Bushfoods.

They began with a traditional smoking ceremony, learned about the cultural significance of native bushfoods and conducted soil testing – measuring pH and electrical conductivity. Students also assembled Raspberry Pi sensors to monitor soil moisture.

This hands-on day was a great addition to our Food and Water Security unit, showing how technology and tradition can work together in sustainable food practices.
