Our recent Open Evening showed just how well our new Year 7 students have settled in to secondary school life. Many took on the responsibility of being student guides, proudly showing families around the school.
Tours of the new performing and creative arts centre were popular. Overlooking ovals and bushland, the twenty-eight flexible learning spaces will cater for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.
In just one term the Year 7s have become accustomed to moving around the different learning areas, enjoying experiments in the Science laboratories, Food Technology classes, learning an instrument, trying new sports and becoming ‘star readers’.
Year 7 camp allowed students to get to know each other better while having a lot of fun. Afterwards, it was great to see so many putting their hands up to join the Student Representative Council.
