Commissioning Mass for New Mercy Education CEO

On Tuesday 20 August, some of our Student Representative Council members attended the Commissioning Mass for the newly-appointed Chief Executive Officer of Mercy Education Limited, Ms Louisa Rennie. This was a significant celebration for Mercy Education, with representatives from all thirteen Mercy schools across Australia in attendance.

Four of our students held significant roles within the Mass, with Eoin O’Grady playing and Georgia Thompson reading the Acknowledgement of Country. Our College Captains, Ella Hargreaves and Jack McMahon, were part of the procession, which highlighted the history and charism of Mercy Education in Australia. After the Mass, our students were invited to the Academy of Mary Immaculate in Fitzroy where they had lunch with other Mercy students.

We thank all of our students and staff who attended and represented Catherine McAuley College Bendigo at the Commissioning Mass. They were incredible ambassadors for our College.
