Collaborative learning on the farm

The Martyn Program’s Year 7 Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths (STEM) students have been busy this term looking after chickens and poddy calves, calculating feeding requirements, maintaining their housing and monitoring growth. The students have thoroughly enjoyed the responsibility and opportunity to care for and learn about these animals. An integral part of this experience is the collaborative learning between the Agriculture and STEM students, mentoring and sharing their skills and knowledge. This experience will form part of their projects and presentations for later in the term.
