CLAY TARGET SHOOTING

On Thursday 10 August, 23 keen Clay Target Shooters took to the Echuca Range to compete at the Northeast Zone Clay Target Shooting championships.

All competitors enjoyed an excellent day out and some terrific results were achieved.

All teams shot one practice round before shooting a total of 20 targets split across two rounds of ten for the competition. All competitors put in a fantastic effort, as they worked their way through the rounds.

Congratulations especially to Jack Wilson and Lucas Rinaldi who finished on the podium in their sections.

Jack Wilson finished in first place in the Senior Boys competition with an impressive 18 out of 20 targets.

Lucas Rinaldi finished in second place, in the Junior Boys competition, shooting a fantastic 7 from 10 in his first round and then 9 from 10 in his second. This qualified him for the shoot-off for second and third place where he shot 5 from 5 targets to secure second place.

Both Jack and Lucas will now progress to the finals day to be held later in Term 3.
