Challenging and rewarding at Wilsons Prom
18/03/2020VCE Unit 1 & 2 Outdoor and Environmental Studies – Wilsons Prom
Our VCE Unit 1 & 2 Outdoor and Environmental Studies students undertook their first trip of the year with a hiking journey at the beautiful Wilsons Promontory.
The trip focused on starting to recognise differing human connections with natural places, starting off with our own. The students took part in a three-day bushwalk through the central and southern walking tracks of Wilsons Promontory, enjoying some of the remote beaches and coastal rainforest this area has to offer.
The walk was both challenging and rewarding and allowed the students the opportunity to step up and take responsibility for themselves and their group on this longer, journey-style expedition. Both groups continued through mixed weather conditions and long days for an enjoyable experience and a well-earned rest.
