Caritas Day 2025 features the Big Water Walk

11/04/2025

Coolock was a sea of colour with many students wearing impressive costumes and house-coloured outfits. Everyone was in full voice and competitive energy for the house chants.

The Big Walk for Water was our major event for Caritas Australia fundraising and awareness raising. Students competed in houses to carry buckets of water around the perimeter of a set course, representing the distance that many children must walk daily to find water.

The day wound up with House Cup activities, Rock in the Quad and a shared lunch. Thank you to our students leaders who planned and led such a vibrant community celebration. It was wonderful to see the older students encouraging and supporting younger students, strengthening house spirit across the College.

Thank you to our hardworking staff and maintenance team who planned and worked tirelessly throughout the day to make Caritas Day such a successful end to the term.

Funds raised contribute to Project Compassion’s work in the local and global community. Our community’s generous support during Term 1 has the potential to positively impact lives today as we Unite Against Poverty. Find out more about Caritas Australia’s work at www.caritas.org.au.
