Caitlin Evans – National Athlete

Congratulations to Year 11 student, Caitlin Evans, who represented Victoria at the Australian Track and Field Championships in Sydney in the first week of April 2022.

Caitlin was selected for the second year in succession to represent Athletics Victoria in the 400m hurdles at the Australian Track and Field Championships.

Her selection came after a medal-winning performance at the Victorian Championships earlier this year where she obtained a qualifying time five seconds below the required standard.

At the National Championship, Caitlin competed in the Under 18 woman’s 400m hurdles where she placed 3rd in her heat and was the 6th Australian across the line in the final.

Caitlin is also currently a member of the Bendigo Pioneers Under 19 NAB League girls’ football team and is enjoying the challenge of juggling both sports.
