Book Week 2024 – Reading is Magic!

‘Reading is Magic’ is the 2024 Children’s Book Council of Australia book week theme. Book Week runs from 17 – 23 August and at CMCB activities have been running throughout the week, including the Edible Book Competition, Movie Days, Dress Up Day, Book Trailer/Cover competition and people’s choice Picture Book of the Year 2024.

Poster Competition

Students demonstrated impressive artistic skills to create these ‘Reading is Magic’ posters. The winner was Chloe with her Reading Cat. Her work used the theme of magic and contrasting colours to capture the eye – congratulations Chloe! Well done also to Emily, Alyssa, Chelsea and Lillyanne on their excellent designs – it was a tough decision to pick just one.
