Book Week 2022: Dreaming with eyes open

Book Week has come to a close and we are so grateful to those students who participated in a variety of ways, from dressing up, to creating posters, to baking works of art, entering competitions…and more! Thank you.
There were a total of sixteen cakes entered and the quality of them (as stated by our experienced cake judge Ms Sophia Garton) was outstanding!
Here are the winners of the cake competition and scavenger hunt.
Edible Cake Competition

Congratulations to all of the other students who entered the cake challenge. It was an amazing show of creativity and talent!
Scavenger Hunt
Congratulations to Isabella Rothenberger correctly located the eight hidden letters and unscrambled them to find the answer ‘Dreaming’. She has won a block of chocolate.
All prizes can now be collected from the Library. Thanks again to all involved.
Book Week at St Mary’s
Congratulations and a block of chocolate to Angus Eadie for being brave enough to pick up a sword and defend the Book Week honour of St Mary’s Library.
The St Mary’s Library launched a poetry and art competition with the Children’s Book Council of Australia Book Week theme Dreaming with eyes open. We look forward viewing the results.
The St Mary’s Book Club also celebrated Book Week by discussing this year’s winner: Tiger Daughter.
