A Busy Term 3 for Senior Drama Students

VCE Drama students were fortunate to head to Melbourne, along with students from Marist College Bendigo, to watch Malthouse Theatre’s production of Macbeth (an undoing). The performance was visually engaging, with creative and captivating use of production areas. This included a revolving stage, where the performers moved through ever-changing rooms as the stage revolved. Unit 2 Drama students then returned to school to analyse and evaluate the many facets of this performance.

Our Unit 4 students performed short solos which brought to life some of Australia’s ‘Big Things’, demonstrating their skills and knowledge as they commence carefully crafting their major solo performance, in preparation for their Performance Exam in early October. They also participated in a Performance Exam workshop, presented by Drama Victoria and hosted by Arena Theatre Company. The opportunity to join with other VCE Drama students in Bendigo, developing their skills and learning from each other, was very beneficial as they devise their solo performance.
