National Health and Physical Education Day 2024

Students at St Mary’s and Coolock celebrated National Health and Physical Education Day on Wednesday 4 September. National HPE Day is a nationwide initiative that highlights the importance of Health and Physical Education in the Australian Curriculum and its influence on the lifelong learning and development of healthy behaviours in our children.

Students at St Mary’s celebrated the day with a range of lunchtime activities led by St Mary’s HPE staff. These included games of cornhole and spikeball on the lawn, a pickleball tournament in the gym and a documentary in the Marian Theatre. Students at Coolock participated in physical activities inside the MJSP, including games of badminton and pickleball led by Coolock HPE staff.
