CMC to compete at inaugural National All Schools Netball Challenge in Bendigo

Monday 21 to Wednesday 23 August

Good luck to the following Catherine McAuley College (CMC) girls who are to compete at the inaugural Schools in Action, National All Schools Netball Challenge. The tournament is to be played at Red Energy Arena in Bendigo. With teams from across the country attending, the CMC Bendigo girls are excited for the challenge ahead.

TEAM: Lexie Austen, Maeve Cass, Lilly Hope, Lila Kelly, Ciarah McDermott, Tess Mills, Diana Napoleon, Charlize Pinder, Neve Pinner, Jaida Raco and Harriett Whiteacre.

For this tournament, the College has merged the Years 9 and 10 teams in order to have the strongest possible team representing the College – with the hope of achieving ultimate success! This merge has proved to be an exciting opportunity for all involved, with the girls relishing the prospect of playing together. Their enthusiastic commitment has been evident as they have pushed themselves to achieve high standards at their early morning training sessions. They are determined to be the best they can be, at what will be a tough national competition. They understand that this is an incredibly special and event and cannot wait to take to the court over the three days of competition.

The girls are fortunate to be coached by Mrs Clare Hope and Mrs Julie Fennell, two incredibly knowledgeable staff, who are relishing the opportunity of working with this group of girls.

Tarah Frawley rounds out the group of participants. Tarah is the Team Manager and will also sing the National Anthem at the Opening Ceremony, 9.45am on Monday 12 August. Her incredible managerial skills and vocal talent make her a valuable addition to this group.
