VCAL students’ donations to Foodshare

Several of our VCAL students found themselves unable to participate in the most recent round of Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) due to COVID restrictions.

This group of students decided to use the time they would have spent in a workplace, working together for those in our community who are currently experiencing food insecurity.

They researched, planned and prepared a series of nutritious family meals to donate to Bendigo Foodshare. They each included a friendly note introducing themselves to the recipient of the meal they had prepared. Students donated thirteen family meals to Foodshare.

We are proud of the initiative, teamwork and compassion evident in this shared activity.
