Sandhurst Student Leadership Day focuses on empathy and reaching common goals

On Friday 7 February the three of us had the opportunity to attend a student leadership conference in Kialla, run by the Catholic Education Sandhurst. During the day we had the opportunity to interact and network with other like-minded students from surrounding schools and brainstorm ideas to enhance our leadership. Throughout multiple sessions run by Paul Desmond, the Director of Catholic Education, Maria Wetherell and Kate Wilde, our eyes were opened to new styles of leadership and new techniques we can adopt in our roles at the school. The focus of the day was on empathy and challenging ourselves as leaders to connect with every student in our community, to reach our common goals.
