9-Hour HPV Race
Catherine McAuley College entered a team into the Bendigo Human Powered Vehicle (HPV) event held recently around the Deborah Triangle in Golden Square. The race went for nine hours, which is an excellent stepping stone as we build towards our 24-hour race in November. Students who were new to the program were able to ride as a team to complete the challenge. This included riding around the street circuit to test their skills and stamina on some tough hills and tight corners. Students also worked as a team to facilitate efficient pit changes and make sure they were constantly providing encouragement and feedback to their team mate who was riding.
A massive thank you to the senior students, parents and staff for their support of the team in some tough weather conditions. We really appreciate your help and can’t wait to see what the teams can do in our main event over in Maryborough from 22 – 25 November.
